Event Description

Join us for any early celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a screening of the documentary film imperfect. The film follows a professional company of actors with disabilities – including spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s Disease, cerebral palsy, autism, low vision/blind, and multiple sclerosis – as they attempt an unprecedented version of the musical Chicago.

The actors open the backstage door for us, giving a rare and unfiltered look at the details of their daily lives, in and out of the theatre. The film chronicles their intimate stories as they persevere against obstacles and experience the joy of co-creating art.

We are extremely lucky to have permission to screen imperfect before its release. On the film festival circuit, it has won at least 24 awards to date.

The screening includes popcorn, candy, and drinks.

This event is open to all Princeton staff.

The film will be shown with open captions. If you require any other type of accommodation to participate, please email your request to [email protected] at least a week in advance.
