Event Description

We often think of accessibility in terms of WCAG rules. While these are important, they do not tell the whole story. The goal of every designer should be to create a positive and high-quality user experience to all users; both those with disabilities and those without.

The problem is that UX is a slippery concept. It is multidimensional and hard to define in a way that makes it easy to communicate and measure. The 5D Rubric addresses those needs.

The 5D Rubric is a simple and highly flexible structure that can be adapted to specific products. It can be used for initial design and for assessment. It offers a path to operationalize user experience so it can be integrated into existing processes and easily communicated. It is easy to learn, use and customize.
